31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
When Christ returns believers from around the world and from all time will be gathered to finish our eternity with the Lord. It will be the great harvest. None who are believers will be left behind. All with be gathered for the celebration of heaven. It will be the event of all time and eternity. Christ will appear in the clouds with power and great glory. No special effects will be needed. This will be the real thing. The Oscars will pale in comparison. The 4th of July will be like kids’ sparklers. The hard part of the description of this event in Scripture is that the writers run out of earthly words to describe it. The words “You just have to see it for yourself” will take on their ultimate meaning. I guess the question that needs to be answered is this. Are you ready for His return? Are you living with a clean conscience, keeping your sins confessed and obeying what you do know is pleasing to the Lord? If not, why not start now!
